Lincoln Square, New York City.
1,000SF.
This pied-a-terre is located on the 47th floor of a New York City high-rise tower, overlooking Central Park. It was purchased by a beloved client, who has the most distinct and fabulous taste, to serve as their home away from home upon visiting the City for work or vacation.
The apartment was gut-renovated. Interior walls fully removed for a new floor plan. The result is an airy, wide space.
Kitchen walls were removed to create an open floor concept with the living room. A chevron-style hardwood floor complements custom-made millwork, including the kitchen, circulated peninsula, and built-ins with storage around the air condition units.
Master bedroom was enlarged, due to the original hallway that was cancelled. new custom closet with mirrors was installed, as well as built-ins with storage around the air condition unit. recessed baseboard was installed throughout the apartment.
Master bathroom was enlarge over the original hallway. Plumbing has been replaced all the way to the riser. custom flooring vanity with Korean top was installed. bottom drawers are deep and wide to allow for towel storage.Continuous niche was created across the tub and shower.
In the powder room, stone slab was installed as floor. The slab continues on the wall and ends with a shelf. the horizontal line pattern creates movement and together with the wall mounted toilet, unique oval sink, and floor mounted faucet, gives the room minimalist clean look.
Washer and dryer are inside the closet. Wall art add a touch of color and warmth to the space.
Since this is a one-bedroom apartment, Murphy bed has been added in the main space to accommodate guests. The lighting fixtures are fitting into the space, not attracting attention, with the exception of those above the dining room and kitchen island. The walls were painted neutral colors, serving as background to the artwork and colorful accessories.
